That's a bit of a trap in cases like thise. There have been many cases where crews mentioned this while in fact they were technical but it has a operational consequence in terms of non-dispatchable from an outstation.

Indeed: it could have been a loading document or permits error. Or it could have been a small technical issue that allows them to continue the flight, but which would forbit to take off again after landing. And then OPS ask them to return to Schiphol: that's a lot easier and cheaper then sending KLM engineers to Cairo to fix the aircraft.

They did not do a usual approach for the 18R.(below 2000ft over Amsterdam and Zaandam)
