German - Sighting Questions

Hi Everybody.

Like a lot of other people at the moment, I am going over some old sightings.
In a log for Norvenich, for the 21st June 2001. I have the following Tornado aircraft 45+65 45+83 45+96.
Checking, to see if they were IDS variants. The Military Aircraft Markings 2001 edition. Did not list the three aircraft.
Checking previous editions, I see, that they were shown, as being in use at Holloman from 1997 onwards.
Two of them I understand 45+65 and 45+83 were scrapped at Holloman. One, 45+96 at Jever.
I had seen 45+83 and 45+96 prior to 1997. But, not 45+65. I thought, I had made it, that day at Norvenich.
So my question is, would it have been in Germany at this time ?

Also on the 6th May 1999 at Frankfurt Rhein Main, during the visit of President Clinton. I logged the three VH-60's. But have a note of also seeing seven US Army UH-60's. BARG for that period makes no comment about the UH-60's.
I appreciate it is a long shot. But, does anybody have any idea, of which helos may have been present, or used during his visit.

For the date you mentioned regarding the 45+65, I can’t confirm. I have seen the 45+65 at Nörvenich in 2003 however. So it is possible you’ve seen it at Nörvenich

Thanks for that. All three, were missing for quite a period, from the books, I was checking.

45+65 was noted with JBG31 between Jun01 and Jul10
In 1999 it was on overhaul at Erding (ex Holleman)
It was scrapped at Jever in 2013
