I'm finding many illegal copies of my videos, often with the logo of the thief overlapped to mine. Not every times YouTube accept to remove them. For example right now I'm working (and paying) a lowyer to force the removal of some illegal copies of my Bulgarian MiG-29 air to air videos.

Creating this high qulity of aviation videos is expensive in terms of money invested in trips and equipments and in terms of time to shoot and produce them. The revenue sharing from YouTube covers maybe 20% of the costs.
So I cannot accept that other people stole my work simply by downloading and reuploading it. Placing the logo in the center seems to be the only solution to avoid this or at least if the stole it is visible thet it is my work.

If you have a better idea to avoid stolen videos please suggest, in the meanwhile I'll continue to place my logo in the center. If you don't like it, no problem, don't watch my videos.

Basically understand your position, Ruggero. Often I see videos and photos with a watermark right in the middle, and I wonder 'If you don't want people to enjoy this photo / video, why do they upload?'
Thinking about your rights is understandable, maybe a watermark can be put in a position that still allows people watching it with pleasure, even if then there are ways of 'removing it'.
In this case I did like pjotrtje and Dutch62.

Same here. I think most people here do have the same expensive and intensive hobby. Earning money with it? Only for a few lucky ones. Do we care? Most don't.
I personally like watching others people's work.

Logo in the middle as being an annoying fly? For me it's a no-go.

In this case I did like pjotrtje and Dutch62.

I tried to place my logo only on a corner at the beginning but I found many and many unauthorized copies of my videos with another logo over mine. So the logo on the corner is not a solution. In many cases YouTube removed the stolen videos but not always. In some cases they want a legal action that is expensive. So the only solution I found is the logo in the middle.

I don't want to make money from the videos, I want that it is clear that creating videos is expensive for me in terms of money and time. Instead of create and publish them free of charge for the public I can just stay relaxed at home. So what I want is that my jobs and efforts are recognized and not stolen. If somebody want to use my material we can made an agreement in advance, it happened in the past, but the agreement must be done before not after.

I'm also aware also that people are stealing my videos because they are high quality videos. Poor videos are not stolen.

So I will continue to place my logo in the middle. I'm aware that this is a non-go fo somebodies and it is ok for me. I prefer to lose some views than that somebody else take the credit of my work for free.
