The former Dutch Dakota Association DC4 which is currently parked at Rand Airport near Johannesburg, South Africa is expected to fly again.
It is being re-fitted with two zero timed engines according to a message at avcom.co.za
http://www.avcom.co.za/phpBB3/viewtopic ... 1&t=127773
It even might return to the Netherlands.
The aircraft is now registered ZS-AUA

Would be very good.
Anyone for the names of the investors?
Especially the zero-timed engines might be a good start.

We can hope, but I wouldn't be surprised if the airfields still don't want it to come to their fields, due to the music that cultural barbarians describe as noise.

Are there any updates about getting the DC-4 back in the air? Their Facebook page has not been updated for a while now..
