As the tankers and the current Gulfstream reach the end of their usefull life, would it be a idea to (opposed to the Dutch traders mentality) keep these in the museum and/or as gate guards instead of selling them as has been done with the KBX.
Twente AB is opened now and then for a final touchdown. I bet Soesterberg can do the same for the NMM.
The Gulf is malfunctioning and the Ex-Martinair planee also regilatly mis their take off slot... They won’t make a furtune when sold off.

Considering the sorry state the airforce is still in, I can imagine any money these jets can make is more than welcome.

If not mistaken both KDC-10's have been sold already to a firm in the States, leaving as soon as they retire.Richard from Rotterdam wrote:Considering the sorry state the airforce is still in, I can imagine any money these jets can make is more than welcome.

Twente is always open, it is a civilian airport with daily business flights and indeed the occasional final landing of a widebody.Flyboy wrote: Twente AB is opened now and then for a final touchdown. I bet Soesterberg can do the same for the NMM.
This is completely different from Soesterberg, which lacks any form of infrastructure.
