Hi Folks
Helicopters at Carentan.
at 17:00 on Sun 9th I noted
CH-47s 15-08195, 16-08199, 15-04866 + 1 more that I didn't write down.
UH-60s
Near row left to right: 20281** xx707, 20398, 0-26271
Far row left to right: 20223, 20419, 20255, 0-26706

**20281 Everyone (including me) has logged this as 20261 which it wasn't, it's a badly positioned 8 that looks like a 6.
I was tipped off about this and walked around to the far side to check it where it could easily be seen to be 281.

CH-47s 16-08199 & 15-08466 arrived from Biggen Hill on Sat 8 June.

Cheers
Andy

Sunday afternoon around 17.30 while driving on the N13 from Cherbourg to Caen a Security Civil EC145 flew in other direction towards Cherbourg. Did someone noticed this one?

Third time i logged 14-08168 15-08195 16-08199 16-08200

On the 10th i passed Carentan again with 4 Chinooks on the ground:

15-08195 15-08466 15-08466 16-08199 16-08200

That makes for me 5 different Chinooks logged and photographed on the hippodrome!

Next mornig there were three Chinooks gone........

Patrick thank you for the conformation.
But can someone confirm 709?
96-26709 is w/o and I believe 14-20709 is not in Europe at the moment.
Sorry, only saw this now, 709 is a typo on my side. Right serial is 706!

Hi all,

Perhaps I overlooked it but on June 7, at approx 4PM there was a DC-3/C-47 in RAF / D-Day markings parked on the grass near the terminal. I took several pictures but the view of the tail was blocked by her wing and she had no other visible markings but the regular RAF markings and D-Day stripes. She appears to be airworthey. Does anyone know her ID?

TIA

I believe the BoBMF Dakota was the only participating Dakota in RAF markings.
