UPDATE ON L-BIRDS IN NORMANDY
the L-birds are hangared in St Andre, but only a few. The rest has been hangared else where due to the up coming storm. The show on Saturday might also get canceled due to the storm. The organisers still had a hope, but it is a 50-50 they said today.

Why? According to the person i spoke today there should be between 30 and 40 L-birds present tomorrow.r.e.hendriks wrote:Better change the title to “L-birds anywhere but Nomandy”Marcovh wrote:UPDATE ON L-BIRDS IN NORMANDY

Around 9:30 three Hercs took off from Evreux: in order they were USAF 47316, BAF CH11 and RNLAF G-275. Could be your birds, but no guarantees of course.
On the subject of Evreux, there is one Maxwell Herc there. Anybody who knows which one?

Re: D-day 06jun19
Had a better look at it, F-HUGO definitely the one!frank kramer wrote:Hi Rob (and the others),r.e.hendriks wrote:Today, june 5th we saw a dark Dauphin flying overhead Batterie de Merville in the early afternoon. Anyone any idea which one this may be??
Best regards Rob
I received information from a source in the area that civil Dauphin F-HUGO flew several times out of Caen on the 5th. It is dark blue with its registration in gold below the pilot's door. Looks like a likely candidate.
