Best guess is that it crossed the channel along with the daks as a sort of SAR-cover, just like in the old days when F-16's had to cross the pond.Marcovh wrote:Same id, but from where operating? For its location: no clue at all!
At 1850 a Canadian C130 passed just north of Sannerville at 3000ft, clearly identifiable as Canadian though too far for its serial. It showed on ADSB as 130607 but any confirmation would be great (I still prefer cameras or the good old eyeballs above the digital system...)

Re: D-day 06jun19
The number for the 145's is on the construction plate, which is on the right hand side just aft of the sliding door, below the window and close to the white stripe. However, that should not be a problem as the Gendarmerie helos, like all other Army and AF aircraft, have a fixed tie up between serial and code/radio-call. Two are EC145's: JBH/9037, JBI/9127, The others are EC135T2's: JDA/0642, JDF/0757, JDH/0787. The c/n plate for the 135's is also on the right hand side, just aft of the last window (seen from the front). Full radio call is F-MJ**downwind wrote:Noted at Caen-Carpiquet 5-6-2019 19:00LT following (5) Gendarmerie EC145: JBH, JBI, JDA, JDF, JDH (all visual). But where do they hide the #@&€! numbers?

Regarding the Canadians; A Polaris was seen on ADS-B taking off from there just some minutes ago, on its way across the Channel. A Challenger is also flying over Bretagne now heading west, coming from Deavuille-Normandie. Interested where the Aurora was operating out from. For everyone in the area: Enjoy! Wish I could have been there.

USCG Herc and French Da900 seem to be on their way to Normandy as well, coming from Paris.
