No, because of Iran. The USA rather scrap their Tomcats than give spare parts to their former friends. And how should you fly an aircraft without spare parts? Impossiblekiwi wrote:Is there a small chance that somewhere in this world someday a Tomcat will be flying again?

Re: GRUMMAN F-14 TOMCAT
every now and then I come across some recent pictures of airborn Iranian F-14's, so the Iranian F-14's are still flying, the question is however how many they have air worthy.kiwi wrote:Is there a small chance that somewhere in this world (except from the Iranians, nobody knows if theirs are still flying) someday a Tomcat will be flying again? As show aircraft maybe? I'm so bummed I never got to see one up close (sure above me in formation off the coast of Florida but never really up close)
I think even airliners has recent pic's of F14's flying round in Iran

can't take it anymore ... I've seen far too little of this great (to me most beautiful) bird.
Eventhough pics are only 10% of the real experience, it's beter than nothing for me. Thanks for all the nice pics everyone!
Grt, Mike.
