Spent an enjoyable afternoon on the spotting hill at MdM with at least 100 people. Two female Gendarmes kept an eye on us but that was it. No problems at all. All of the afternoon wave was photographed during landing in bright and sunny, but tricky light conditions due to the position of the sun. Edit: AND the position of the trees.

If it’s the hill I’m thinking about Michael it’s on base and situated between the apron and the runway!

No its not! It is in the western approach just south of the field where all the D-roads come together in a roundabout. Just follow the road from Bordeaux to MdM or vice-versa and look on Streetview.
