Re: Seville/San Pablo (LEZL/SVQ) 2019
Hi Andy,
I had a quick visit (non spotting) to Sevilla Thursday the 17th & Sunday the 20th. Thanks to your excellent report I was able to figure out
most of my log, nevertheless:
at the North side a row of three C295's could be easily seen:
One primer (c/n 176), one grey (I assume the TZ-11T, looking at the flag colours) and a third one in primer. Do you know which one this was?
Secondly at the South side a row of three C295's could easily be seen as well. EC-296 (a grey one), 180 UAE Air Force (grey as well) and a third
one in primer. Do you know which one this was ? I thought to read 163, but I'm definitely not sure.
Thanks in advance,
wkr.,
Remco

Re: Seville/San Pablo (LEZL/SVQ) 2019
Remco,
On the north side, the two primer machines did not change between 14-17 January (173, 176). Three different ones were in the third spot (nearest the road) during that time. Firstly, the Gabon one (camo), then CN-AMG (white), then TZ-11T (grey) by Thursday.
On the south side, up to three primer 295s were outside at any one time (160, 163, 171). There was quite a lot of movement of these as usual (eg I only saw UAE 822 once, it was on the engine running bay close to the road to the gate.

Re: Seville/San Pablo (LEZL/SVQ) 2019
Andy,
Thanks for the quick response, highly appreciated !
Just one more question/remark in general: I was wandering about the EC-400; is this c/n 056, destined to be ZM421?
The one seen by me at Sevilla had a grey tail, while the one destined to becone ZM421 used to have a "RAF 100" tail,
for example seen as such at the Kleine Brogel airshow in September last year.
wkr,
Remco

Hi Remco
The A.400 marked as EC-400 is c/n 056 and expected to become an RAF machine. The one in primer with the grey tail is c/n 075 and is/was also expected to become an RAF machine. They were expected to become ZM420 and ZM421 (order not certain) but this is only guess work as c/n 056 was originally expected to become ZM416 and that never happened. c/n 095 has also been quoted as an RAF machine but has been noted with a French flag on the tail. Only time will tell.

Hi,
We noted 095 with a French flag on the tail on a factory visit in early Oct 2018.

Re: Seville/San Pablo (LEZL/SVQ) 2019
It would appear that the paintshop have put the wrong serials on the tail of the Turkish A400Ms! If they are MSN 093 and 094 then their tail numbers should be [17]-0093 and [17]-0094 unless they have come up with a new numbering sequence?

Re: Seville/San Pablo (LEZL/SVQ) 2019
according to pictures, MSN104 should be the first Belgian machine, at least according to pictures of the rear fuselage.
source https://sway.office.com/by7yi2U2sg4knFNw
i downloaded the pics in HiRes and either 104 is the first Belgian or they labeled the part incorrectly, i believe its the latter. so the first Belgian machine should be MSN106, of witch certain parts should have already arrived.

Re: Seville/San Pablo (LEZL/SVQ) 2019
Well according to a post on scramble Facebook page on 13/2 104 nose was pictured as being Luxembourg ???
Re: Seville/San Pablo (LEZL/SVQ) 2019
Have you taken into account that the serials on A.400s 093 & 094 are correct. 17-0093 & 17-0094 may have already been allocated to another type and the Turkish Air Force didn't want to use the same numbers again. Time will tell.

Yes, that is a perfectly feasible explanation too TT and as you say, time will tell.
