French Mirage missing
according to BBC a French Mirage from Nancy AB went missing earlier this morning in the mountains between the regions of Doubs and Jura, near the eastern border with Switzerland.

Debris as well as one parachute have been found, no trace yet of the two pilots (one male, one female).

I think it is a stupid question, but does a military jet like this have also some sort of emergency beacon?

Not a stupid question. The jet itself doesn't have an emergency beacon but the seats have. Their beacon is activated when the seat is jettisoned. Press release from the Chief of the Air Staff

The Chief of Staff of the Air Force, Air Force General Philippe Lavigne, and all airmen have the sadness to announce the death of the crew of the Mirage 2000D, sought since yesterday in the Jura.
He expresses his deepest emotion and heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of Captain Baptiste CHIRIÉ and Lieutenant Audrey MICHELON, who died in commanded air service.
A licensed fighter pilot, Captain Baptiste CHIRIÉ held the operational combat pilot qualification. He had 24 war missions and 940 flying hours.
Patented Navigator Officer Systems Weapons, Lieutenant Audrey MICHELON held the qualification of Deputy Chief Navigator. It totaled 97 war missions and 1250 hours of flight.
Like the minister, the Air Force Chief of Staff will be traveling to Nancy-Ochey Air Base 133 tomorrow to be with the families, the air base airmen and to show them all the solidarity of the Air Force.
He expressed his thanks to all the personnel involved since yesterday in the search operations of the aircraft and its crew.
