Damn, I don't know whether it's the angle of the pic or something like that, but it looks like they overran the runway by something like 40 meters, so that was a close call! Is that runway short, was it wet or anything, or was it a pure mess-up from the crew or the plane?

Hydraulic failure in one system, limiting flap use etc., so a difficult landing to start with, exacerbated by heavy rain and crosswind

Okay, thanks! Then it's pretty much an achievement that nobody suffered from the landing and that the landing gear isn't even broken. I'm pretty sure that the plane will be serviceable within a week; something I'm not sure about regarding the underwear of most of the crew and passengers!
