Re: NAS Fort Worth JRB, 2018
Any idea where the number 21 is coming from? Or is it a random number? Bush was president #41.........tally wrote:For President George H.W. 21 guns is the highest national honour so I guess 21 f-18's is similar to that....

In that case, I would have chosen a single engine aircraft instead!Chrissly69 wrote:21 guns is the highest national honour so I guess 21 f-18's is similar to that....

Re: NAS Fort Worth JRB, 2018
Noted today at NAS Fort Worth is absolutely dreadful weather (300 ft ceiling, 1.5 visibility, drizzle) in order of take off. There was a 21 aircraft flyover after they played the national anthem followed by a four ship missing man formation. I imagine flight 8 were the air spares. They all flew under "Drago" callsign.

Re: NAS Fort Worth JRB, 2018
Can the VFA-147 be taking over VFA213 Black Lions for CVW-8??
Looks like CVN-77 George Bush may transfer over to the Pacific since the NH tail code??

Hi Dave,
Can you help fill in the blanks in the log? I know you stayed longer so you may have some of them. I threw in the wet towel once Drago 99 came back. The rain was just awful.

Re: NAS Fort Worth JRB, 2018
VFA-147 will transfer to Vinson's airwing (currently CVW-2 'NE'), so one possibility is that they will replace VFA-34 in the 'NE-4xx' slot while VFA-34 transitions to the F/A-18E beginning in January 2019.Melchior Timmers wrote:Thanks for the log!

Updated both logs after some work on my photos. Not great and hope to get more confirmed with logs from others. Stay tuned.
