All AH-64s should be at Storck. All CH-47s to Katterbach. I am unsure about the country-wide breakdown of H-60s. There are so many of them!Custard Gannet wrote:Hi

Can't remember where, but I believe to have read that the Apaches are deployed to the far east or something. 4 Cab will only show up with Chinooks and Blackhawks in Europe.

Re: Europe June 2018: US Army 4th CAB,4th Infantry Div. heli
Hi
Indeed that was the initial info ... however Scramble FB page says that is now not the case .
The official blurb from US Army Europe states
54 Blackhawk
24 Apache
12 Chinook ...
For this deployment... Europe wide
Fort Carson has 2 Apache units I believe
Cheers

Ah yes, just read that myself. Well that's good news but it also states that the Apaches will arrive later. Not when, where and how unfortunetaly. Will not be surprised if these arrive by airfreight on Ramstein.

Yes makes sense. remember that when the OH-58D was retired, AH-64s filled their spots in the scout role, in Air Cavalry units.Custard Gannet wrote:Hi

Re: Europe June 2018: US Army 4th CAB,4th Infantry Div. heli
Based on their FB, it looks like 6th Squadron, 17th Cavalry Regiment (Fort Carson) will deploy in support of Operation Inherent Resolve (not 100% sure though). In that case it's either 4th Battalion, 4th Aviation Regiment (also Fort Carson) or a battalion from another Brigade that will deploy to Europe soon.

Re: Europe June 2018: US Army 4th CAB,4th Infantry Div. heli
In addition to the med birds, 227th (1st Cav) had UH-60Ls at Katterbach. Unsure if all of them, but some of them at least were VIP/C2 birds.Le Addeur noir wrote:Med HH-60Ms at Katterbach and the other to Storck, if what has happened on previous deployments is followed.Custard Gannet wrote:Hi

The US Patriot is in the harbour of Zeebrugge since this morning. Can anyone confirm that the 1CAB helos are still outside or did they start the loading?
