16-20864 was arriving from Spang with 2 other med birds-which were 15-20861 and 15-20867. Also a plain Jane UH-60M (15)20796 in this flight.tatoo wrote:16-20864 H-60 to Zeebrugge (adsb) around 1530.Whitecat wrote:At least 3 Blackhawks (98-26828) and 3 Chinooks (15-08175 and 15-08181) arrived between 17.45 and 18.15.
The last arrivals were R20808 Flt (UH-60M) with 2x CH-47F of which one was 15-08177.
Earlier on R20819 Flt arrived as a flight of 4.

The red circle is the landing spot. This is surrounded by two rows of containers. So nothing is visible from the outside.
The green line is the flight approach they flew today (well the 3 I saw).

Are these choppers from the 10th CAB which transited via Rotterdam earlier this year?

Roughly, the timeline is as follows location-wise: 10 CAB came in via Bremerhaven and went out back to the States via Rotterdam. It was followed by 1CAB which came in via Zeebrugge and now moves out via Zeebrugge again. 1 CAB is followed by 4CAB which is now transitting eastward through Rotterdam and Eindhoven.

Many thanks for the clarification.
Re: Port visit Zeebrugge 2018
Any idea what vessel they will use for the return? I see Honor (arrival Zeebrugge: Jul 13) and two weeks later Endurance (arrival Zeebrugge: Jul 27). July 13 seems rather long as these helos are arriving now.

Re: Port visit Zeebrugge 2018
ARC ship "Patriot" arrived Zeebrugge harbour in the morning. Is there anyone to confirm that this ship is taking all the helicopters back to the states? I remember that "Patriot" was used in Feb. 2017 for transportation of AH-64D to Bremerhaven...
Re: Port visit Zeebrugge 2018
Remember arc has a lot of these vehicle carriers.
It seems patriot is not in the right
/best place for helicopter loading, so not plausible to me it's there for the helicopters.

Re: Port visit Zeebrugge 2018
Either the helicopters are on the "Patriot", which is travelling to Rota at this time. Or the other possibility is that they are waiting for the "Endurance", which was travelling from Rotterdam to Bremerhaven today. On her way back from Bremerhaven to the states "Endurance" could load the helicopters at Zeebrugge possibly between Thuesday and Thursday.
Is there anyone who knows the situation at the ground at Zeebrugge at this time?
Regards,
groundcontrol

Re: Port visit Zeebrugge 2018
i think one of them is kept here, during Lunchtime at work (Beernem), we saw a UH-60 Blackhawk (medevac markings, didnt see the registration) on the back of a lorry
quite a surprise as i thought they would better take the freeway, not the scenic route
was propably heading for Chievres.

For the Belgian Navy days on June 30th and July 1st, a US Chinook and Blackhawk arrived yesterday for static display.
Also ships expected that can carry a helicopter are HMS Montrose (UK) and Zr.Ms. Tromp (NL).
Belgian Navy will static display a NH90 and Drone Maritime Tactical Unmanned Aerial System (MTUAS).
