Initial supporting tanker appears to have been KC-135R 59-1519 174ARS/IA-ANG RCH051, which departed with the 3 x F-35 and later recovered at homebase Sioux City (KSUX).Starfighter_F-104G wrote:22-05-2018

Fighters were using callsign NOW332A. Unusually, the tanker was assigned Uniform departure freqs (379.9 or 263.025).

Re: F-35 Lightning II developments
Departure freq is typically 257.95 or 125.8. But 379.9 is quite common going North. As these left at 4:30 in the morning I am certain there were hardly any local area controllers so to use 379.9 makes sense.sdamico wrote:Initial supporting tanker appears to have been KC-135R 59-1519 174ARS/IA-ANG RCH051, which departed with the 3 x F-35 and later recovered at homebase Sioux City (KSUX).Starfighter_F-104G wrote:22-05-2018
