Re: Chania (Souda Bay) LGSA/CHQ 2018 MIL
Hi all.
Any Souda Bay spotters here?
Would anyone be able to catch VVYD56 due in today from Rota please? I believe it to be a VPU-2 Special Projects P3 wearing a fake BuNo. They are externally different to normal P3C models in that they have a different HF array which go from the sides of the fuselage to the outer tips of the horizontal stabs instead of up to the top of the tail like standard P3C's. They also have a dome on top of the cockpit (and sometimes one under the nose cone) as well as several batwing antennae on the forward top section of the fuselage. They also have a radome hanging down under the left wing.
It will be flying under hex code AE1D22 for those of you with radar boxes.
If anyone can get some high res pics of it they will greatly help to figure out which frame it is actually is.

As you understand, no chance for photos. Crete is a sunny place, but not during the night!!! May be on its way back, after a few months...c32tracker wrote:Enroute as I write, due in at 1859z and out again at 2145z to HDAM. Flight plan REG/161884N .c32tracker wrote:Hi all.
