Freedom 2017, Batajnica 20 oct 2017
Hi all,
I haven't seen any info on this event here at Scramble MB yet.
The event is already tomorrow, so you have to decide quickly.
Freedom 2017 at Batajnica AB, Serbia. An event to commemorate the liberation of Belgrado in 1944.
This event will actually be a sort of military exhibition, with the reveal of six new MiG-29's, and many other military stuff.
A flying display of appox. 30 Serbia military aircraft, and the show finishes with a display of the Russian Team Strizhi.
Best regards,
Rob Hendriks

The G-4 with 23738 wasn't in the storage area, it was parked at the active flightline with G-4's and J-2's.Fishbed17 wrote:A short trip out to Serbia for Freedom 2017 found the following at Batanijca

Did you read the Mi-8's in the storage area your self?
We found out that parts of the tails were missing, which made it hard to identify them.
We saw six of them:
12206 red cross mks. (old blue/white/red flag)
(1227)0 dark c/s rotorless (red/blue/white flag) => serial needs confirmation
123(67) green c/s rotorless (red/blue/white flag) => serial needs confirmation
12370 dark c/s (red/blue/white flag)
12550 green c/s (red/blue/white flag)
123. . sort of faded camo c/s with racks on both side of the fuselage, also rotorless (red/blue/white flag)
Now I see 12366 in your list, but the c/s in which this was seen in 2007 (with red cross) doesn't match.
Best regards Rob
Re: Freedom 2017, Batajnica 20 oct 2017
Hi we read the Mi8 ourselves early in the morning, we viewed from the other side so the part of the tail had the last three of the serial on. Did you manage to read off the G-4s and Lasta's which did not fly?

Tony,
Can you confirm the following serials, as these have never been noted before!! So possible some kind of errors...
12880
12912
17211
And also photoproof of 25717 (because this lived at Ladjevci for years)
Thank you!
