Re: 10th CAB returns to CONUS
Well, I guess that solves the question why the Endurance sails to Rotterdam after leaving Zeebrugge (ETA Rotterdam: 24-10, 22:00)
Re: 10th CAB returns to CONUS
...leaves to me the question why 8 of their AH-64D passed through Dresden last monday heading east...?? Or were those from the 12th CAB? (for example serials were 97063, 46464, 05288)
Re: 10th CAB returns to CONUS
Those indeed are 12thCAB serials.
Anyone for a guess where in the Rotterdam port area the 10thCAB equipment along with support material is headed?

In the other thread the Steinweg company is mentioned. Which would make it at the Elbeweg 101 in Europoort. Not official though (as the original press release does not explicitly mentions this.) Also unknown to me when the first choppers come through.

The Benelux-harbour is a deep draft RO-RO area so seems a logical choice

Regarding the Apaches passing through Dresden.... a number of Apaches will leave via Poland, where they are now, probably the port of Gdansk or even as airfreight, to test different logistic channels. Why routing is via Rotterdam and Zeebrugge where previously Bremerhaven has been used, along with airfreight.

To reply to my own quote, checked the location yesterday but didn’t saw any indications of the upcoming move.nilsko wrote:In the other thread the Steinweg company is mentioned. I also find an arrival of 24th rather soon if no equipment arrived as of yet (21st). Usually the build up of such moves takes at least one week in advance.

Back in the 90,s during the gulf war they used Steinweg at the Gerbrandyweg.
No guarantee for this year, but they seem to prefer proven locations.

Will there be a temporary NOTAM around the area in effect? If yes, this might give some clues w/ regards the location. I tried searching but found nothing as of yet.

A recent picture of 10th CAB shows, army personel in the Rotterdam Port near the Drill Rig "Energy Endavour" which is currently laid up at Damen Verolme. So Steinweg - Gerbrandyweg is a good guess.

I think I remember that the helicopters were visible from a rowing-club which was somewhere oppositie the dock where the helicopters were unloaded in 1991?Thijs wrote:A recent picture of 10th CAB shows, army personel in the Rotterdam Port near the Drill Rig "Energy Endavour" which is currently laid up at Damen Verolme. Re: 10th CAB returns to CONUS
If I get the location of Steinweg at the Professor Gerbrandy weg right, there is a park opposite the river called "Park De Lickebaert". This is on the other side of the Nieuwe Waterweg between Vlaardingen and Maassluis.
Location Steinweg: 51.895767, 4.287052
Location park is roughly at 51.901063, 4.289520 (which is a parking place)
I read on FB that according to rumors among the Eindhoven crowd is that Wednesday the 25th is said to be a busy day. No concrete info at all so just rumors. Surely, when things get more concrete people will share

Vessel ‘Endurance’ is now in the locks of Zeebrugge on its way out to sea.
