Hi all,
The front section of former NVA L-29 321, which is in the database as scrapped, still exists. It was stored at Reinsburg in March 2015 (see http://www.skybird-ev.de/Germany/Reinsd ... orf-d.html, but a visit this week learned it has moved on. Thanks to Flugzeugforum I learned that it is now at Allstedt.
And the museum at Finow got a new exhibit, a former Iraqi MiG-21. Well, the frond half of it that is. It is c/n 05685147, which did spend some time in Munich marked as "23+85". It is now in Finow, displayed against the wall of the cabin that holds their MiG-21 simulator (which is now up and running after a thorough restoration). This Iraqi MiG was left at Dresden when the events of 1990/1991 unfolded, with two others, and was subsequently scrapped. It carried maintenance code 8708, the Iraqi serial might have been 210 according to Russian Planes, but confirmation would be nice.
