I will be attending Red Flag 17-2 however, will be there early and was wondering if Eielson is Spotter freindly and if there is any good spot ??
in the morning and afternoon!
I ahve seen peope staying outside the highway looking at the aircraft. Wonder if that is a good spot
ANy help would be much Appreciated

No Bueno Dave. I do not think you can stop along the runway. Its posted all along the base.

Hi Dave, the highway alongside Eielson is military terrain and standing there for a prolongued period of time may attract unwanted attention. It certainly isn't comparable to standing at the fence at Fort Worth!

YEah! LOOKS like the highway outside the base is consider base property.. according to the PAO! they frowned upon spotters! wow!
