Do they switch the transponders off sometimes? It's currently at 10.000ft. Sorry I'm entirely new to this ADS-B thing! :-)
Yes receivers switch off their transponders when engaging with the tanker. Good examples can be seen on the east coast of the UK, like USAF E-3s on transit (when they are not having an issue and need to divert to Mildenhall which is more common).

On ADS-B the Cobham Falcon shows as G-FRAU, while eyeball Mk.1 shows G-FRAL. Anyone? Did they swap transponders? Unauthorised paintjob or the game "confuse the spotters"?

G-FRAL only flew yesterday for FF17 because G-FRAU had some issues. This morning G-FRAU took over the job again and G-FRAL went home just before recovery of this mornings FF-wave

I assume no take-offs before 09:00 local, resulting in landings taking place before 11:30, with the afternoon wave taking-off around 13:30~14:00?

MTIA,
Ben
Recovery takes a bit longer than that, especially if they do IFR-approaches; on wednesday morning it took at least an hour (11.00-12.00) to recover 46 aircraft. Afternoon wave take-offs were spread between 13.30 and 14.30. Mission times also depend on whether (and how many) tankers are up.

Nope,

On the 7th only a morning wave will be flown.
This may not include all participants, as some might leave early ...
In the late morning / afternoon, all participating units ( US might be excluded ) will leave the base and some transport might come in.

To add, some might also go directly home while airborne at the end of morning wave.
