Hi all,
1. JASDF Naha will open on Dec. 12, but the B.I. was cancelled.
The reason is not released.
2. The 304sqn.(F-15, Tsuiki) will move to Naha by Mar.1016. (maybe in March)
I'm sorry that I miss-typed "2015" in my second message in this topic.
So the 304sqn. is still based at Tsuiki.

Re: Japan Air Shows 2015
It will make a trip to the Tsuiki Open House more attractive to have the F-15s there. Their pairs rehearsal on the Saturday last year looked very good - it was a shame that they were scheduled to fly later in the day on the Sunday - after the Blue Impulse and, as it turned out, after the rain started. I would hope there will be an F-15 suitably decorated to mark their impending departure from Tsuiki.
I had planned to attend the Tsuiki open house this year, even thinking there would be only one squadron of F-2s in attendance. It seems the most likely opportunity for a solo F-4EJkai display, as for the last few years Nyutabaru have gone for a pairs gunnery demonstration. OK, Gifu also has a good solo Phantom display, and I had planned to be there at the eastern end of the runway on Saturday for the rehearsals. But at Gifu if the weather is good, the photography is bad inside, as the crowd faces south. Tsuiki is a much better position, if the weather is good.
Of course, that was before Hyakuri announced their Open House would be on the same day as Tsuiki and Gifu. But by then I had made the decision to go later in the year and do the Nyutabaru and Naha shows instead.
Jonathan.

Re: Japan Air Shows 2015
Uni,
Thank you very much for your information on the 2015 air shows in Japan. It was tremendous help in the planning and preparation of my trip (the Nyutabaru and Naha shows, with 6 weeks of aviation photography around them).
Thanks,
Jonathan.
