HAMAMATSU (RJNH) Open Day 08 Nov 2015
Another small log, fairly complete, but a few details missing as the original seriously rain damaged!
Galoshes rather than stepladders would have been the order of the day.

It certainly did rain! Looked at my pics and would add these:

63-8502 F-2A Hiko Kaih.Jik. - Flying
87-8409? F-4EJ Hiko Kaih.Jik. - Flying (i'm guessing as this was the one they practiced at Gifu with a couple of days earlier in blue skies!)

What is your source for this confirmation please?
I am aware that you can find this serial quoted in many places.

Probably, Erwin found the serial in the Scramble Japan database. And this info comes from a Japanese W & R site stating it is 12-7995 posing as 92-7929. The site has some theories on this, however in Japanese. There are some photos of two Sabres, both in Blue Impulse c/s and both having the last three '995' on the nose. I don't think the c/n plate was ever checked and you and me both know there are a number of dodgy preserved Japanese Sabres around.AndyMarden wrote:Erwin, ehusmann wrote:Real serial is 12-7995Starman wrote:92-7929 F-86F Preserved at gate (serial in doubt?)

Glad you have made up the thruth already. Utterly wrong of course, but who am I to change that perception.Sadammie wrote:Probably, Erwin found the serial in the Scramble Japan database. @Starman
Thanks for the log, few questions:
Where was the majority of the 1 Jyutsuka Gakko aircraft located? Japanese blogs only showed one F-15J and one F-2A. Was their hangar open and where is this located?
About ten 31 FTS T-4s in your log are actually 32 Kyoiku Hikotai aircraft. According my info (incl. unit?) : 608, 642, 662, 685, 713, 732, 736, 741, 742, 750, 780 and 783.
Can you confirm 96-5680, last seen as 301 Hikotai.
Can you confirm 96-5776, last seen as Shireibu Hikotai.
UH-60J 08-4571 is operated by Hyakuri Kyunantai.
Preserved T-33 = 71-5254?

Re: HAMAMATSU (RJNH) Open Day 08 Nov 2015
Hans, thanks for all that, you are basically correct, I should have put "1 Kokudan" instead of 31 Kyoiku Hikotai, and I believe we have a list of the tail colours somewhere, I´ll edit the list when I get a minute.
95-5776 is a "strike" for now, it was 85-57X6 where X was rain damaged, we actually saw the 95-5776 elsewhere.
08-4571 was there, and I didn´t see it at Hyakuri the previous week, maybe it has changed units?
Preserved T-33 = 71-5254?
I think we left before the F-4EJ appeared!

To say about the 92-7929 F-86F Preserved at hamamatsu AB gate , its real serial is indeed 12-7995.
It was certified by the manufactue-plate which is in the wing-corn about 30 years ago.
