According to Ch-aviation:

Stichting Airport Coordination Netherlands (SACN), the organization responsible for the allocation of take off and landing slots at Dutch airports, has awarded nine daily slots at Amsterdam Schiphol airport to Ryanair.

Speaking to De Telegraaf newspaper, the managing director of SACN, Caroline Ditvoorst, said that if taken up, Ryanair could use the slots for commercial flights beginning this winter. The Irish LCC has until August 31 to decide whether or not to use the allocation.

winter 2015 / 2016

Manila, Philippines — Country’s flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) is planning to fly to two European countries within the year, is looking at flights to London, Amsterdam, Paris, Rome and Madrid.

Ismael Augusto Gozon, PAL senior vice president for operations, said the airline is eyeing direct flights to two countries in Europe.

“We will fly to two European destinations before the end of the year,” he said.

He added, will likely use the Airbus A340 or Boeing 777 for direct flights to Europe. Last month the European Union lifted the ban preventing PAL from flying to Europe.

Philippines Airlines is set to take delivery of 12 more brand-new Airbus aircraft within the year. On Wednesday PAL received its first Airbus A321-200. This aircraft is the first of the 65 new airplanes that PAL is scheduled to take delivery until 2019 according to Business Mirror report.

The company airline ordered 45 single-aisle A321s and 10 wide-body A330-300 airplanes. The 55 planes are worth $7 billion. It also exercised its option to acquire 10 more A330-300s worth $2.5 billion. This raised PAL’s total orders to 65.

Sorry, I hate to be the person to tell you that this is very old news from 2013.

You must have missed the fact that Philippine Airlines has been operating to London since early 2014, initially with B773 and now with A340. The flight operates 4x/week in Summer 2015 and can be seen crossing Groningen and Friesland on most evenings.

As PAL is loosing lots of money on the MNL-LHR route, PAL management has made it clear that no further routes to Europe will be added.

Sorry to give you bad news.

All times are local times!

Regards, N.
