Strange contrails ....

I have photographed this A380 over St-Dizier 2 days ago, with these pretty looking contrails, I had never seen before. Anyone would be able to give me some informations ?

This is caused by the aerplane wings flying through moist air at high altitude. The air above the wings is more compressed than normal en causes a cloud-vortex. In ideal conditions, such as this photo, the sun relects on the ice christals and beautifull rainbow colors appear.

It looks a lot like a Thai 747-400.

I'd go for the Thai A380... "small" winglets and a much bigger wing than a B744.

Errr... That would make it a very undynamic wing... Lift is generated because the airflow over a wing takes longer than under the wing, creating a dynamic pressure difference which pushes the wing up.

Great pic! It's an A380 for sure, look at the wingroots, the shape of the wing and the tail.
