Recently a USN A-7 was moved into Monroe, with the Chennault Aviation & Military Museum. It is on lone from the Naval museum in Pensacola and arrived in December 2014. According to one source it should be the 154485, which used to be at St John airport in the same state. However, according to a local news article the plane was picked up in California and it took two days to transport it. If that is true, I find it unlikely it is in fact the 154485 which was for years just around the corner. Anybody who can confirm the identity of the A-7 which was moved into Monroe?

Hiya!
Using their website and Twitter account, it would seem the 2 day journey is exaggerated, and 154485 would be correct.

La Place is near St. Johns Airport in LA.An A-7E Corsair aircraft will arrive at the Chennault Aviation and Military Museum at approximately 2 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 2, for static display.

Aircraft restoration volunteers will leave the museum at 8 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 30, and arrive at La Place at 2 p.m. to load the plane. A large construction crane will be used to situate the plane onto the trailer.
Louisiana State Troopers will escort the caravan from Reserve through Baton Rouge, Krotz Springs, Bunkie, Marksville and Jena. The group will overnight Monday at Jena and head north Tuesday to Monroe via Hwy. 165.

Then it is indeed the mentioned aircraft. St John is also called Reserve, so it all fits.
