First time Leeuwarden for me tomorrow. My visit is mainly to see the F15 eagles departing.
As we have wind from the West I assume the best spot is at Marssum side.

Anyone able to give me some hints?

Good afternoon,

Last week we enjoyed our holiday in the South-West part of Austria, very close to the Italian and Swiss border.
Thursday the 8th of May at 10.33 AM a group of 4 F15's were seen , heading South East. I suppose it took them about three-quarter of an hour
to get there from Leeuwarden. Therefore anyone around with the serials of the departing Eagles ? (three groups of four, as I read in earlier posts).
At 13.56 PM two other Eagles were seen as well, heading in the same direction. In the afternoon two Eagles (86-0161 & 85-0096) made a stop
at Aviano, so I assume these two are the ones for me. But any help with the four Eagles in the morning would be appreciated !

They departed the 7th from Leeuwarden (which was a thursday) . You are mentioning the 8th which was a Friday.
I asume you ment to say Thursday May 7th

One sidenote. during their flight overhead Germany they changed callsigns:

FANG1-4 = USAF159
SNAKE1-4 = USAF125
RATTLER1-2 = USAF433
RATTLER3-4 = not heard
