Re: EHLW 22-04-2015
Can someone give me a heads up. I want to take pictures of the aircraft taking of. What is the best spot to do so when the aircraft fly from Marsum to Jelsum ? I want to get full burner shots, so when they are off the ground. I have to be around Jelsum I think. Thanx in advance.

Best positionering is along the old railroad track which leads to runway 27. But be aware you need many mm. Something a rond 700 to 800 mm om a full frame camera.

Just along the N- road near the farm is fine to (great).
Some are high, some are low lower, some real low. far less mm needed here.
a F-15 comes in the best situation fully in your frameviewer with just 200mm (320 real mm). Been there done that.
but remember: wether on the defunct Railwaytrack or along the road, not all a/c will have AB (still) on at either of these points.

Just passed south off Leeuwarden 13.40h (crossing Lauwersmeer heading NE) RAF Atlas ZM400.
Maybe it was visible from there????
Marcote34 and Cobo32 are in the circuit north off Vlieland...

Did the J-136 have a bird strike today? Was that the reason it flew by? See https://twitter.com/tripwire30/status/5 ... 0561968128
