RIAT Fairford 17/18/19 July 2015 Air Tattoo

Post by Stratofreighter »

Yes, it is still more than seven months away  , but here goes:

As taken from Image https://www.facebook.com/EuropeanAirshows
Airtattoo Info

Airtattoo published some info about what to expect from friday's show:

Standard Admission tickets for Friday 17 July allow entry into the event and access to:

- Part of the showground (Red, Blue zones only) from 7.30am to 6.00pm
- Flying display from 11am until 3.00pm (4 hours) with a mass flypast to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain
- Friday only 'Pit' area access to get close to aircraft and crews (when not operational)
- Static aircraft displays in areas open
- Public viewing lawns in open areas
- Trade stands and exhibitors in open areas
- Two Service Stations - Red and Blue
- Techno Zone, Vintage Village and RAF Village

Airtattoo also said: "We also hope that the futuristic Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II  , which was due to take part in the 2014 airshow, will make its much heralded European display debut at RAF Fairford next summer.

Chief Executive Andy Armstrong said that with so much instability :( in the world, it was the ideal time to turn the spotlight on the important role air power has played and continues to play in making Britain and our allies around the world, safer.

He added: "Already, the response from international air arms has been extremely positive and we'll be looking to build on last summer's hugely successful event".

Super Earlybird tickets for friday cost £26
Earlybird prices will still not be cheap :| :

On the other hand, the shuttle busses will only be 2 Pounds return per day if booked in advance. That is only one third compared to the last two years! RIAT IS going cheap at some point
airtattoo.com wrote:Combined Admission and Shuttle Bus
NEW FOR 2015 - TRAVEL BY BUS FROM SWINDON FOR ONLY £1 EACH WAY!

We are now offering a special discounted combined Air Tattoo admission ticket with return shuttle bus from Swindon Bus Station to RAF Fairford. This will be operating on Friday 17, Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 July 2015 and will only be an additional £2 per person (adult & child) per day when purchasing an admission ticket or free of charge child pass.

For the most up-to-date participants' list for RIAT 2015
the non-official
http://www.air-shows.org.uk/airshow-pre ... -fairford/
is probably the best choice right now.

"Whilst we are aware The Ramex Delta Tactical Display team and a number of other teams have announced on social media that they will be attending the Air Tattoo this summer, we await official confirmation."

lists the so far still not officially confirmed Polish Mil Mi-14 Haze and the An-28.

And apparently a confirmed Dutch AH-64D Apache flying demo as well!
