Re: Curaçao/Willemstad/Hato Int'l (TNCC/CUR) 2015 CIV
Noted during my short holiday was the following (incl MIL):
30-4
N189WS Gulfstream 1159 still present on date of departure (7-5)
An unread AWACS, P-3 and KC-135 were noted on the platform during landing, but remained unread.
5-5
HI-850? Jetstream 31 probably a misread
YV1257 Beech 100
V-11 Gulfstream 1159C 334sq
N50HA Gulfstream G550
C-GPAB Dash 8-106 Caribbean Coast Guard
C-GRNN Dash 8-106 Caribbean Coast Guard
203/V SP-2H fmr Dutch Navy dumped near the end of runway 29
N30LJ Lj25
N556PM? Dash 8-202 Q200 titles
... Dash 8 all white
The tail-less Neptune is dumped at co-ordinates https://www.google.nl/maps/place/12%C2% ... 0!6m1!1e10. Take the side road of the Franklin D Rooseveltweg and walk towards the left hand side of the few houses here. After some 10 meters, the aircraft is visible. The tail of the Neptune is preserved in front of the Coast Guard hangars. Apart from two civilian-looking Dash 8s, there was no other (semi) military American hardware present this afternoon on the western platform.
7-5

I couldn't read off the Orion from inside the terminal, as it taxied to its stand in the dark, as there was too much light from inside the building reflecting on the windows. Apart from this Orion, another P-3 was noted in its hangar, as we taxied to the runway. The KC-135 was also back on the ramp.
From my hotel, some 15km from the airport, I noted Avior's B737-200 on four occassions during the afternoon. Although they remained unread, it was neat to hear the B737-200s pass overhead
By the way, for those interested: there is an YS-11 fuselage to be found on the Koraalspechtweg (c/n 2131), near the popular Mambo Beach. It used to be a restaurant, but it is deserted, overgrown by local vergetation and up for sale. The inside of the plane is accessable, but totally wrecked. What a shame. https://www.google.nl/maps/place/12%C2% ... x0!6m1!1e1
