Of this day I have some great slides made by Leo Hoekstra which shows the 104658 CF-104D from 439 Squadron and the 21+24 RF-104G from MFG2. Phantom 68-0528/HR has a blue fintip which suggest it is a 10th TFS machine.Key wrote:The day that probably got me hooked on spotting forever, after taking it up in October the year before. I was unaware of the upcoming deployment, but I still see the formation of eight 104s whiz overhead upon arrival. That kind of surprises happening, combined with the great variation in types and the amount of traffic in general was an absolute thrill! But you know what I'm talking about...Gerard wrote:So it looks like I was there on 15AUG80 and a log for that whole day is very welcome!
Soesterberg 15aug80As you see I don't have all the units, hope that's no problem.Code: Select all

Re: Request: Old Soesterberg Movements
But how do you know it's the right date if you don't know the movements of the whole year? Aircraft may visit more than once per year...

Re: Request: Old Soesterberg Movements
Stephan,
you are right, I will never be 100% sure and I duely note that in my files.
With sightings on subsequent dates though that increases the probability that I visited on those specific dates.

3-46 was at Soesterberg on March 29th 1989 (and surely several other times), together with 3-37...
