In the year 1972 there were four F-84F Thunderstreaks at Sbg as decoys:
P-116 (315 sqn)
P-140 (314 sqn)
P-152 (315 sqn)
P-155 (315 sqn)
I saw them just before the shelters were built in the west-central part of the base.
In 1978 they wore fake serials and 334sqn badges! They stood near the Railway-line in the northern part of the base.
P-147
P-149
P-23. (I think 234)
P-251
Who knows the tie-up ?

Photo's of the F84F's P-116-140-152-155 can be seen on the fabulous site: http://home.tiscali.nl/sberg.sixties/SBAug73.htm. Some Streaks were noted at the scrapyard USAF-side of the base P-265 (315) on 10-5-1966 and P-162 seen there on 4-5-1966+7-9-1965. It's not known whether these acted as decoy as well. before scrapping.
