Re: Bleriot XI The Oldest Flying Aircraft in the World

Post by mauld »

Not so, that aircraft was originaly manufactured in 1918, The Shuttleworths Collections aircraft was manufactured in 1909. The bleriot at Old Reinbeck is also older than that aircraft built three weeks after the Shuttleworths example.

Speaking of which, does anyone have the registration of this ancient bird (the one at Kleine Brogel, that is)?

In fact it is a Swedish made Thulin A. The owner Mikael Carsons have two examples.

One is SE-AMZ, this one was reported at Payerne one week earlier. So it make sense this was the one at Kleine Brogel.
More info about the second one is welcome !

The speaker at Kleine Brogel told it was used by the Danish Air Force.

Madeira Airport (Funchal) Plane Spotting: Boeing 737 Ground

Post by FlightVideo »

Madeira Airport (IATA: FNC, ICAO: LPMA) is one of the most dangerous airports in the World. We don’t agree with this. Madeira Airport, also know as Funchal Airport, is surrounded by high mountains and the ocean and and often planes have to land in cross-wind conditions.

In this timelapse video you can see what happens when a plane lands. This Air Berlin Boeing B-737-800
