Dear all,
I was spotting yesterday at Amsterdam, and I noticed on a landing KLM 737-7K2 (forgot to check the regi) flashing wingtip lights. I am sure you are thinking these are his navigation lights, but I can tell you they were not.
The lights I saw were located in front, on the lower and of the wingtip, and they were flashing on/off on the same moment both left and right. Like someone flashing his lights on a car.
I have seen this numerous times in the USA on Southwest Airlines, where the landing lights are flashing, likely for visibility.
I have never seen this though on a 737 of KLM or any of the type her in Europe. And, numerous 737-7's came in, this was the only one.
Luckily for me, I was not the only who noticed
Can anyone shed a light on this?
Thanks ,
Maurice

Hi Maurice,
Moved the topic to a more appropriate location and best way to describe your exterior lighting question is this picture, found on FlickR.
Hope this helps.
