If your read the text is says (Google translate):

Those 80 countries will mostly send ambassadors, last years no special stuff at LBG etc. Issy les Moulineaux always hosts 2 Pumas for the paradrops.
Quite often the choppers that will go to Les Invalides will make a short stop over there as well, but then you have to be really quick.

According to the pdf-file mentioned above, the parade starts at 09:10h and will end at 12:00.

How safe are the times? Can arrive by TGV in Paris est 09:50h... No earlier TGVs from Germany that day...

By experience, the aerial defile usually starts around 10.15h.
I assume that you arrive at Gare de Nord. Then you have to travel to Invalides in about 25 minutes (best location for pictures). That will be a VERY tight schedule. You might not make it, given the fact that several stations will be closed and that the Metro is very crowded on that day.

TGV from Saarbrücken arrives Gare de l’Est.

Then you have to travel to Invalides in about 25 minutes (best location for pictures).

I've made a quick map of the Defilé, maybe this helps:

The long line is the route of the defilé, it changes to the fly-out route on the dotted part (height of the planes increases)
I marked the spot at les Invalides with a red circle, where the line of sight is marked in yellow. This means you have no buildings obstructing your view.
The blue square is the area where the choppers will land after the flypast.
The red square in the upper righthand corner is the Gare de l'Est. As you see, the line of sight is much longer (obstructions) and you face towards the sun.
According to www.ratp.fr, a metro journey would take you 28 minutes (I did not calculate the queue for the ticket machine).

So, it's up to you, but it's rather tricky....
