Interesting suggestion (JB5, are U watching ); they could make an interesting "test aircraft" line-up together with the Orange Jumper, J-066.

Hoe schatten jullie de kans op de Patrouille de France? In hun calender is op die dag ruimte (daarna Duxford).

Vorig jaar naar mijn mening de strakst gevlogen demo, stond er echt met m'n mond van open.

Om heel eerlijk te zijn graag wat minder demoteams (die toch heel veel flightline ruimte innemen) en wat meer verschillende miltaire types van de diverse buren...
Maar ik meen te weten dat het te maken heeft met 'uitruilen' en het vullen van de (vlieg)dag.

Ik zou het zelfs niet erg vinden om bij wijze van spreken wat meer zwevers van Belgie, UK ,Italie en Frankrijk te zien, in plaats van de overbekende demoteams.

Of op Gilze Heliveld:
* EC135, NH90-TTH, Bo105P1, Tiger van Duitsland
* Spaanse Chinook, Huey,Puma (Cougar), SH-60
* Italiaanse HH-139A, HH-3F, NH-90, EH-101
* Oostenrijkse OH-58B, EC635
* Portugeese EH-101
* Britse Bell 212, Apache AH1, een laatste SeaKing... (ze mogen in verschillende kleuren komen...)

Maar het zijn nog maar een paar weken en de uitnodogingen zijn vast allang op de post gegaan, dus we wachten geduldig af.

I think it would be nice to see the Lancaster together with the B-25 in the air. It would be even nicer when they are accompanied bij Spitfires, the Hurricane and P-51. For a WWII airdemo.

If I am correct 2014 will also be the first "Luchtmachtdagen" which features a US Army UH-72A Lakota. Correct

So, I've attended several Open Dagen in the past, but for some reason never at Gilze. How are the photo oppertunities on base? Do we have backlit at the air show etc.

Hope someone can share earlier experiences!

Gilze Rijen has a 10-28 runway and the public is positioned on the south side. So sun (if it shines.. ) behind you all day Great opportunites all day long! IMHO the best base for Open day's due to the great position for pics, and the fact they can position some of the static exhibitions in front of the (rounded) NATO shelters which gives it a very operational look and feel.
