I woke up this morning with aircraft landing right over my head for landings on 09. Any particular reason for this (quite exceptional) situation??

I woke up this morning with aircraft landing right over my head for landings on 09. Any particular reason for this (quite exceptional) situation??

I also don't know why, but I was pleasantly surprised to see this, as the last I time saw this happening, was somewhere in the nineties when a Delta TriStar made an precautional landing on the 09. Good job Schiphol!

With NE-winds and 36R closed, there are not many other options for the inbound peak. 36L can't be used for landing and 36C can't be used simultaneously with 06.
What surprised me is that they used 09 both for landings and takeoffs.

Between 1040/1140LT and 1300/1400LT RWY09 will be used again for arrivals/departures in mixed mode.
