Hello to all,
I was just curious how friendly the authorities are at D Laage, Schleswig-Jagel and Wittmund when it comes to spotters taking photos during this military exercise(Jawtex)?
I was hoping to fly over to Germany from the USA and capture some fighter jets in action while landing and taking off.
Can anyone help with any helpful information or who I might be able to contact for that information?
Thanks,
Trevor

Morning Trevor,
Actually all three bases are fine for taking pictures. Havent't been to Laage, but that place should be ok, and relaxt with locals.
Witmund is possible along the entire length of the runway. So you can chose whatever kind of pictures you like and you can position yourself at that point, with sun not being a problem.
Schleswig has been a (long) while for me ago, but spotting itself is fine. Also pictures was not a problem, but we only did visit 1 side of the runway, and don't know if the other side would be accessible.
Good luck and have fun overhere!
Oscar

Hi Trevor,
About spotting at Laage, outside of this base it's hard to make good photos.
The best places to stay are on the road 103 or at the side of Rostock-Laage Airport.
But you stay to far away to make good photos.
I think it's better to stay at Wittmund or Schleswig-Jagel.
This bases have the best opportunities for photographers.
When you need more info about the best spots, send me a pm.
I hope to meet you at Schleswig.

hey,
I've heard a rumor about Greek airplane (Corsair) being resent at this event. Does anyone know anything about this, because I didn't found anything on the website to confirmthis,
thank you

Phillipe I also cannot find any detailed information about the participant only an article in which is mentioned that about 100 jets will be involved: http://www.mdr.de/sachsen-anhalt/stenda ... lt100.html
Offcourse the SIS Bulletin has more details on the participating countries: http://www.scramble.nl/sis-summary
