USA trip Part VI (Last) Mesa/ Williams AFB

Post by joan le poole »

Hello all,

As promised the part of our trip of which a lot of you want to see some photos from. So, this is the last part. On Februari 7 we were at Phoenix Mesa Gateway or Williams AFB. It was a great last day of our trip!

Enjoy!

1. Nice surprise, some A-4s
Image

2. We saw the last 2 T&Gs of this well painted KC-135.
Image

3. We knew 4 AV-8s were expected in the afternoon. This was another surprise :)

4. Communication before shut down.

5. Heavy crop, but a nice aircraft.

6. Head on. I love this angle on this jet.

7. You see, I love my job ;)
Image

8. The 2 Harriers we saw. Unfortunately we missed the last 2 because we had to leave and head to the Netherlands.

Very nice and clear images... but the A-4s can hardly be called a surprise.... They've been here for years!

Very nice those AV-8's! Won't be long before they're out of service, so better catch while you still can :)
