c/n 3070 is not involved in the AFSOC contract. It was delivered back to Nigeria as 5N-DOW after overhaul in Hurn on Sep 20th, 2012.
c/n 3085 is currently the last one at JETS for overhaul and repaint. It has already been spotted with the serial 23085 (12-3085).
Also in at Hurn is c/n 3089 5D-DOY of Dornier Aviation Nigeria Aiep (DANA). I think this one is also to return to Nigeria, but maybe someone else can tell.
Problem sofar is the fact that various (ex) airlines have been supplier of these Dorniers. So one can hardly tell which ones in Hurn continue their carriers at AFSOC. Altogether that makes 16 (sofar....), 10 of which have been at JETS.

524th SOS C-146A 11-3075 arrived at Bangkok-Don Muang during the afternoon of 24th December calling Magma 05.It was still parked at DMK with no sign of movement at 07.30Z today.
This bird is in the standard colours and is the replacement for 11-3031,which returned to Cannon AFB earlier this month (see above posts).
This is the first sighting of this airplane in Asia, when and what route it took to South East Asia is not known.
Anyone like to furnish any details of which bases/airports this airplane used to arrive in Asia?.

Denver, CO.
Another arrival at Oberpfaffenhofen was 3020 ex N337PH which was ferried from the States to Oberpfaffenhofen as D-CAAK. Is this one also to be converted for AFSOC duties?

C-146A RCH1049 arrived at Kadena from Anderson AFB recently and 11-3075,RCH1050 was on SBS in the El Paso area presumably returning to Cannon AFB from Asia.A FY96 C-146A 96-3016 is currently operating in Australia.
* C-146A 12-3060 was at Kadena last week,so this was probably RCH1049.

I think 12-3047 c/n 3047 hasn't been mentioned before in this thread. It was to be delivered early July as N347EF to you know who. This one is ex D-CDXN, N433JS, OY-NCA and D-CAAN was used as test registration.

While checking your above report, I noticed 3106. This one should be 11-3016.Le Addeur noir wrote:C-146A RCH1049 arrived at Kadena from Anderson AFB recently and 11-3075,RCH1050 was on SBS in the El Paso area presumably returning to Cannon AFB from Asia.A FY96 C-146A 96-3016 is currently operating in Australia.

Re: 524 SOS C-146As,how many are there?
The latest C-146A change in the Far East appears to be 12-3085 (noted Kadena 17th October) as a possible replacement for 10-3077(in the Far East since April and last noted at Kadena on the 20th September).
The other 2 C-146A currently in the Far East should be 11-3016 and 12-3060.

Press message:
The US Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) has received into service its 17th and final Dornier Do 328 (C-146A) twin-turboprop tactical transport aircraft, it was announced on 30 September.
The Do 328 Group has sourced a number of Dornier aircraft, similar to the example pictured, which AFSOC will utilise as logistics and transport platforms. (IHS/Patrick Allen)
The aircraft was handed over to Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) for conversion into a military platform by the UK and Germany-based 328 Group. The handover ceremony took place on 9 July at the 328 Group's facilities in Operpfaffenhofen, Germany.
328 Group sourced 15 of the Do 328 aircraft from various locations, including Europe, the United States, and Africa, under a four-year contract with SNC valued at USD200 million, while SNC sourced two of the aircraft itself.
