Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

Re: "The Phinal Landing" - ETNJ 05.07.2013
Thanx very nice pictures of a sad moment
Re: "The Phinal Landing" - ETNJ 05.07.2013
Nice pictures!
Maybe we stood 5 meters apart, we will never know
Here are some thoughts and impressions
I brought earplugs with me to Jever but at some point i realized "last opportunity for F-4 sound", so what the hell.....
Don't know what exactly to say....so many impressions today and just now realizing that the "22" for sure was the last F-4 i saw and i was listening to.
Thanks to the Pilot of the last Phantom for the nice turn to the spotters
And Thanks to the JG 71 and the LwInsthGrp21 in Jever
I would have great appreciation of the situation if they would like to celebrate alone. So once more again, thanks that we could participate.
Buy the way the nicest spotting event i have been. No critics, no shouts .......perfect
So i guess i bored enough with my rudimentary English, so here are some of my views of the day in Jever
So the pictures are in chronological order
10:26
10:39
Marshaling ETNJ-Way
11:47
37+22 ...from now on only static pictures
heavily edited, but i like it, also that the wings are cut. The Pictures with the whole plane are in my view less "powerful"
12:05
Kind of picture of the day
THE END

So if that "special colorscheme" 38+33 landed here !.
Does that means it is destined for scrapping at Jever ?.

Are there no museums interested in this piece of history ??
Or is it - as usual these days- a budget thing ??

Re: "The Phinal Landing" - ETNJ 05.07.2013
It's an FMS thing. Remember that there are some countries out there, that are not exactly qualified as friends of the USA, flying the F-4. Obviously the USA wants to prevent parts of planes ending up over there. That is why they have to be scrapped, not because the Luftwaffe wants it.FALCONCREST wrote: Are there no museums interested in this piece of history ??
