French fighter jets arriving in Lithuania to guard Baltic skies

Four fighter jets Mirage F-1 of the French Air Force will land in in the Air Base of the Lithuanian Air Force in Siauliai to take over NATO’s air-policing mission in the Baltic States.

The French air capabilities are deployed to patrol the airspace above Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia from Mont De Marsan Air Base of the French Air Force, the Lithuanian Defence Ministry said.
