The DoD photo that was with the article shows serial in black with last three outlined in white. Looks like 45441 to me.

That's funny; two ex Illesheim a/c that left January 2011 for fort Bliss have now again returned!

Uhm...

That's easy: zero. These are flat barges and there is no such thing here as "under deck"...

The bigger question is: what and how many were already moved last week?

Anyway, caught this load passing the Krammersluizen, nice view of the helicopters passing under the road bridge but too dark for decent photo's.

Marco

Well,

Of the about 40 shots, five came out more or less okay. Grainy, but good enough for a sense of atmosphere.

Inside the Kammersluizen lock. Chinooks were (and are here) easy to spot, Apaches were initially a bit harder:

Small correction (typo I guess). The 07-08035 is 07-08034. I've checked my photo's from this morning and what I've been able to read from my camera screen all Apaches are correct.

Are all the helicopters already at the docks in Antwerp?

If not it might be useful to track the ships owned by International Shipholding Corp. or one of its subsidiaries. This company is regularly chartered by the US Forces to transport equipment around the globe.

The following ro/ro ships are part of their fleet: http://www.intship.com/wp-content/uploa ... cs_ISH.pdf

Hoi Jeroen,

Roggeveen said normally only one or two agencies would be involved in a standard operation, however the size and nature of this operation necessitated more than 100 people from nearly 20 agencies, working together to get the job done.
