Question on history: Ramstein

Hi there

For our Spotting Group Volkel magazine AIM, I am doing some research on the history of Ramstein AB. I am searching for all units (owning aircraft) which have been stationed at Ramstein from 1953 untill now. In the 70's there have been, apart from the obvious (38TRS, 512 + 526TFS, 67ARRS, 601TCW, 40ARRW), some utility aircraft in use, but I am completely in the mist which unit or units owned these aircraft (C-47, T-29, T-33, T-39, HH-19 and probably more). Anyone who can help on this one?

In the summer of 1973 the 7086 Operations Squadron was formed at Ramstein AB. The squadron flew support aircraft, at least two C-118s, six T-39s, two C-131s and four Huey helicopters. They flew mostly VIPs, like the president and prime minister of West Germany (when they wanted to go to Berlin) because the Luftwaffe wasn't allowed to fly in the Berlin Corridor. Attached are the patches I have received from a squadron member who also gave me the information above.

The 4 UH-1N were 69-6606 to 69-6609,which were flown up to the early 90s.

5 C-140B(or VC-140B) were flown from June 1977 until around 1988 with the 7086th and sucessor unit(s)? from here,one of those units was the 58th MAS.
