2012 HAF Open Day (Day 1) - Nea Anchialos
Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

Man, cut down on the processing! It's way overdone as on all the posts from Greece you have made. It is not attractive, it actually strains my eyes.
What are you trying to achieve here? They would look much better if you processed a little less.

Some nice compostions, but I have to agree with the others about the colours!

Indeed, if you want something out of the ordinary on your wall, printed on aluminum or something like that, by all means process them like you did.
However, for web situations like this, it's too much saturation in my opinion.
Otherwise, some nice angles and details. Good to see that Nea now showed more than just a Phantom and an F-16 like two years back.
Hans.

I agree with the others, nice set of pictures and angles and all that, but a bit to much color. And also, some basic horizon leveling misses (like in the fifth picture). And with this much editing, you missed out a dust spot that could have been corrected as it is in the clear blue sky(ninth picture, just above the treeline on the right). I also noticed these things in the other sets.

Guys, guys, guys... its not that there is a rule for how to process your shots or if they should be published online or not... Maybe they are a bit too creative for the Scramble forum...
I have to say they show nice compositions and unique angles. The inside shots are good, imho. The sun and sun flare shots are cool. The outside shots do show a nice contrast, I would suggest to avoid the white 'halo' forming around the planes when editing.
Well thats my few cents... byebye!

I'd rather depict atmosphere and the 'heat of the moment' making a catchy photo than to reflect the real situation and real colours showing a boring photo.
