With the type now out of service I took to thumbing through my slide boxes looking for shots of this helicopter.
During the eighties and nineties, SAR displays by Lynxes in off-airfield locations were quite popular.

Ahh yes a Lynx tribute. We have been working on this as well on our website. In the eighties we were young and helicopters and transports were not our thing, so we did let go of much of them at the time. As time goes by we learn to appreciate other mil movements as well, but I promise I will not start to like UAV's and F-35s when I grow old (= over fifty).
