RAF Brize Norton 04/07/2012
After Coningsby, we went to Brize Norton on Tuesday 3/07/2012. Weather was bad and almost nothing to be seen. A lot of VC-10's and Tristars on the platforms... On Wednesday after Fairford arrivals, we went back to Brize Norton in the hope to see some VC-10 or Tristar action, but again nothing... Although the first RAF Voyager was performing touch and go's and we saw the recovery of some RAF Hercules
And some Voyager pictures:
Great to see the airflow over the wings due to the reflection of the water on the fuselage
On its last landing, the sun was starting to appear again...
I hope you like them

Beautiful shots, showing the weather does not necessarily have to be 100% to take stunning pictures! Especially that second Hercules shot... it's almost like it has eyes in the radome (starting to resemble a koala...)

Well, you certainly managed to make the bad circumstances work in your advantage!

"Boris" would be proud! Great weather shots, love it. Much more spectacular than these boring sunny side-on shots.

The Voyager, was that the ZZ330?

Thanks for all the nice comments. It was not that pleasant to make the pictures in the rain, but they turned out not too bad. The Voyager was indeed ZZ330
