Assume this must be RA09009
RA89009 is a registration for a Aeroflot Sukhoi jet ...

Checked my notebook and that's a typo indeed, thanks for pointing it out.

Looking at pics of that one it appears to be a civie one rather than a Rossiya machine. I did find this however:

RA-01982 has been spotted in June on its delivery flight so that might be the one I noted. http://www.ddd.dgualdo.it/ra01982/ra01982-pad-001.htm

Does anyone know how many AW.139's Rossiya operates at the moment?

The two I saw had the same (Rossiya) colours for sure. Here it says two aircraft were ordered so I guess that solves the mystery: http://www.agustawestland.com/news/vtb- ... helicopter

If you read RA-87969 off as one off the stored YAK-40 we were on the trip that the SWAG lads produced and we read off RA-8796? then it is definetly 87968 as I have checked the history of 87960-87969 and 68 and 69 are the two.

I'll be heading to moscow next week and my return flight is from Vnukovo.

Did you have any difficulties with security while spotting from inside the terminal?

Thanks in advance for your answer.

Not at all! Once I got past passportcontrol and the metal detectors I didn't see any security at all.
